Second Life (SL) is a virtual world developed by Linden Lab that launched on June 23, 2003 and is accessible via the Internet. A free client program called the King Bee enables its users, called Residents, to interact with each other through avatars. Residents can explore, meet other residents, socialize, participate in individual and group activities, and create and trade virtual property and services with one another, or travel throughout the world (which residents refer to as "the grid"). Second Life is for people aged 18 and over, while Teen Second Life is for people aged 13 to 17.

[TIP] Different ways to do the same thing (and save you time)
The Alphaville Herald is a newspaper covering virtual worlds, founded by philosophy professor Peter Ludlow (known by his pseudonym Urizenus Sklar) on October 23, 2003. It was originally a newspaper for the Alphaville server of The Sims Online, where Ludlow used the avatar Urizenus Sklar. Its stories uncovered in-game scams and cyber-prostitution, and highlighted Electronic Arts' indifference to the negative consequences of their game. EA terminated Ludlow's account, which made international headlines, and the newspaper migrated to another virtual world, Second Life, in June 2004. Sklar (Ludlow) is currently a Contributing Editor, while the avatar Pixeleen Mistral, revealed by Ludlow in 2010 to be Internet pioneer Mark P. McCahill, is the newspaper's Managing Editor. For some time, the newspaper was known as The Second Life Herald.

This might be of peripheral interest to most of you, for which I'm sorry. However, for those of you that use ambient sound effects, it just might be a godsend.
Every MMO/NGO/VW has bugs. Every patch, every update for every one of them brings a slew of fresh bugs, glitches, imbalances and lost property. Dealing with those bugs, glitches and whatnot can be a pain in the ass quite frankly, but in Second Life, we're not just dealing with peoples' fun. We're also dealing with their revenue.
I know it sounds unlikely to anyone that scripts in lsl, but according to the
